This Brisbane Winter Salon invites guests to join Melissa Dawson and Karla Martin for a candid conversation about architectural careers, leadership and the dynamics of equity in practice. Held in an informal setting, the Salon is part of Parlour’s seasonal series supporting open exchange and community-building among women and gender-diverse professionals in architecture and the built environment.
Dawson and Martin will reflect on their career trajectories, share insights on navigating the profession, and discuss strategies for fostering inclusive practice environments. The event encourages audience participation and continues with casual mingling and refreshments.
This Salon is presented by Parlour in collaboration with the Queensland Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects and supported by Brickworks.
