The Architecture Symposium, Melbourne 2027

A one-day symposium at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on new approaches to construction, materials and consumption

Location: Clarendon Auditorium, MCEC, Melbourne

Date: 30 April 2027

The Architecture Symposium, Melbourne, subtitled Material Impacts, takes place on 30 April 2027 in the Clarendon Auditorium at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in South Wharf. The event is run by Design Speaks in partnership with Architecture Media.

The symposium investigates new approaches to construction and consumption. Architects, researchers and industry figures will look at material strategies ranging from bio-based solutions to systems thinking about familiar materials, and at how these ideas can move from prototype to large scale practice.

With the environmental footprint of materials now central to how projects are assessed, the programme speaks directly to the decisions practices are making on current work. Ticket sales will be announced through Design Speaks.
