NSW Architecture Awards Presentation
The AIA NSW state awards gala on 2 July 2026, recognising excellence across architecture and urban design throughout New South Wales.
Location: Sydney (venue to be announced)
Date: 2 July 2026
The NSW Architecture Awards Presentation, held on 2 July 2026, is the annual gala at which the Australian Institute of Architects announces its state chapter awards. The programme spans residential, commercial, public, heritage, and urban design categories, drawing entries from practices across New South Wales.
The evening serves as the single most concentrated gathering of NSW architects each year, combining the formal announcement of awards with professional networking. The 2025 programme drew 284 entries and awarded commendations alongside the NSW Architecture Medallion, which recognises the chapter’s highest standard of built work. The gala was held at ILUMINA in Sydney’s CBD.
Venue details for the 2026 gala have not yet been confirmed, following the tradition of holding the evening in a recently completed or shortlisted building that forms part of the awards conversation itself.
