Manchester Society of Architects Awards 2026

The definitive recognition of architectural excellence in the North West returns in June, celebrating the best buildings and practices from across the region.

Location: Manchester Cathedral, Manchester

Date: June 2026

The Manchester Society of Architects Awards are the North West’s foremost recognition of architectural achievement, celebrating buildings, projects and practices that have made a demonstrable contribution to the built environment of Greater Manchester and the surrounding region. The annual ceremony brings together architects, clients, engineers and developers from across the North West to recognise work at every scale, from new-build civic commissions to sensitive conservation and housing delivery.

The awards are judged by a panel of respected figures from the architecture and design professions, with shortlisted projects assessed against criteria including design quality, contextual response, sustainability performance and social value. Categories have historically encompassed residential, commercial, education, heritage and public realm projects, reflecting the breadth of architectural work carried out across the region.

For practices active in the North West, the MSA Awards offer an important annual benchmark and profile opportunity within the regional market. Details of the 2026 entry process and ceremony date are available from the Manchester Society of Architects.
