Los Angeles Design Weekend 2026

Los Angeles Design Weekend returns in October for a four-day programme of studio visits, gallery openings and maker showcases distributed across Downtown Los Angeles and North East LA. The event is structured as a practitioner-focused circuit rather than a formal trade show, prioritising direct engagement with designers and makers in their working environments over the polished presentation format of a conventional design fair.

The emphasis throughout is on the making process, with participating studios sharing works in progress, prototypes and material research alongside finished objects. The North East LA strand in particular reflects the city’s concentration of independent fabricators and small-batch manufacturers, with studios working across furniture, ceramics, lighting, textile and product design accessible as part of a self-directed walking and driving tour.
