“Being There” is the 16th Annual Distinguished Designer Lecture presented by the Interior Architecture programme at the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at George Washington University in Washington DC. The 2026 lecture features David Darling, FAIA, NCARB, IIDA, co-founder of San Francisco practice Aidlin Darling Design.
Aidlin Darling Design was founded in 1998 alongside Joshua Aidlin and works across institutional, commercial and residential architecture as well as furniture, landscape, interior and product design. The studio’s practice is guided by close attention to material, light and site across a wide range of scales and building types.
The event takes place on the evening of 1 May 2026 at the Corcoran’s Flagg Building in Washington DC. Tickets are available through Eventbrite.
