Art After Dark at White Bay Power Station
Every Friday evening throughout the Biennale of Sydney, White Bay Power Station opens after hours for Art After Dark — a chance to experience Rememory in the dramatic atmosphere of one of Sydney's most extraordinary heritage buildings at night.

Art After Dark transforms White Bay Power Station into something even more extraordinary than it is by day. Each Friday evening from 20 March through to 5 June 2026, the venue opens its doors after hours, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the 25th Biennale of Sydney — Rememory — by night. The building’s industrial scale, dramatic lighting, and atmospheric interiors take on a different character after dark, making this one of the most memorable ways to engage with one of Sydney’s major cultural events of the year.
White Bay Power Station is a genuine architectural landmark — a heritage-listed industrial building of exceptional scale and presence on the Rozelle waterfront. For architects and designers, an evening visit is an opportunity to experience the building as much as the art: its turbine halls, its materiality, its extraordinary relationship between human scale and industrial ambition. Seeing it lit at night, with contemporary artworks installed throughout, is an experience unlikely to be replicated.
