IIDA Chicago Leaders Breakfast 2026
IIDA's annual breakfast for Chicago's commercial interiors community at the Swissotel, with a keynote speaker and the presentation of the Leadership Award of Excellence
Location: Swissotel Chicago, East Wacker Drive, Chicago
Date: 4 December 2026, from 7am
The IIDA Chicago Leaders Breakfast is the International Interior Design Association’s annual gathering of the Chicago commercial interiors community, held each December. The 2026 breakfast is on 4 December at the Swissotel Chicago on East Wacker Drive, running from a 7am coffee reception to closing remarks at 9.50am. It brings together interior designers, architects, manufacturers and clients from across the city.
The programme centres on a keynote speaker, described by the organisers as motivational and thought-provoking, with the presentation of the Leadership Award of Excellence and recognition of an Emerging Leader from the IIDA membership. Individual tickets are $275 for IIDA members and $350 for non-members, with half tables of five at $1,700 and full tables of ten at $3,300. A $150 student sponsor ticket funds a student’s place. MillerKnoll is the international benefactor and Interior Design the media partner.
For Chicago interior designers, the breakfast is the city’s main end-of-year gathering of commercial interiors leadership, and the table bookings are a reliable map of which practices and manufacturers are active locally. For product reps, it is a seated room full of specifiers before 10am.
