RIBA Grimshaw Foundation Annual Art Lecture: Jeremy Deller
Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller delivers the annual RIBA Grimshaw Foundation lecture at the Royal College of Art Battersea.
Location: London
Date: 22 April 2026, 7pm to 8:30pm
Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller presents the 2026 RIBA Grimshaw Foundation Annual Art Lecture at the Royal College of Art’s Battersea campus. Deller is known for large-scale participatory works that engage with British social history, collective memory, and popular culture, and his lecture will reflect on how art and architecture intersect across public and community contexts.
The evening talk is free to attend and open to all, drawing an audience of architects, artists, designers, and students. Deller’s practice has ranged from the reconstruction of the Battle of Orgreave to the inflatable Stonehenge replica Sacrilege, and his perspective on space, authorship, and public participation is directly relevant to architecture and urban culture.
The RIBA Grimshaw Foundation Annual Art Lecture is an established fixture in the London cultural calendar, presented in partnership with the Grimshaw Foundation to foster dialogue between architecture and the visual arts.
