Los Angeles Design Weekend 2026
A practitioner-focused four-day circuit of studio visits and gallery openings across DTLA and North East LA, emphasising the making process and local fabrication.

Los Angeles Design Weekend returns in October for a four-day programme of studio visits, gallery openings and maker showcases distributed across Downtown Los Angeles and North East LA. The event is structured as a practitioner-focused circuit rather than a formal trade show, prioritising direct engagement with designers and makers in their working environments over the polished presentation format of a conventional design fair.
The emphasis throughout is on the making process, with participating studios sharing works in progress, prototypes and material research alongside finished objects. The North East LA strand in particular reflects the city’s concentration of independent fabricators and small-batch manufacturers, with studios working across furniture, ceramics, lighting, textile and product design accessible as part of a self-directed walking and driving tour.
For architects and interior designers working in or with the Los Angeles market, LADW provides a useful annual overview of the local design ecosystem and direct access to makers who might not otherwise be easily reachable for specification or commission purposes.
