Modernism Week 2026 is an annual festival dedicated to the study and public appreciation of midcentury modern architecture, design and visual culture in Palm Springs. The programme spans eleven days and encompasses guided home, neighbourhood and bus tours, alongside film screenings, lectures and panel discussions led by architects, historians and designers.
Events take place across a range of private residences, civic buildings and cultural venues, reflecting the breadth of modernist development in the Coachella Valley. The festival also incorporates social gatherings, exhibitions and evening events that contextualise architecture within broader design, art and lifestyle histories.
Organised by a non-profit body, Modernism Week supports preservation initiatives and educational programmes, reinforcing Palm Springs’ international significance as a centre for twentieth-century modern architecture.
