The conversation aims to unpack the often-unseen labour involved in balancing personal cultural practices with mainstream professional expectations.
Speakers Sonia Sarangi, Thihoa Gill, and Saba Adil Malik, alongside convenors Lameesa Yousuf and Saneia Norton, will explore the dynamics of self-advocacy, the challenges of intersectional practice, and the necessity of rest and reprieve.
The discussion will also address practical strategies for managing fatigue and the role colleagues and employers can play in alleviating this burden.
