Parlour Melbourne: Autumn and Winter Salons
Off-the-record Melbourne salons for architects addressing leadership, equity and practice sustainability across two 2026 sessions.
Location: Brickworks Design Studio, Melbourne
Date: May and August 2026 (dates TBC)
Parlour’s salon series provides a forum for architects and designers to discuss the realities of practice outside the usual conference environment. The Melbourne salons are held at the Brickworks Design Studio on Collins Street and run across two sessions in 2026, scheduled for May and August, with exact dates to be confirmed through the Parlour website.
Topics centre on architectural leadership, equity in the profession and the economic pressures facing practices in the current climate. The format is deliberately off the record and participant-led, allowing a candour that is rarely possible in public or sponsored panel settings. Unlike marketing-heavy events, the salons are shaped by the people in the room.
Parlour is a research and advocacy organisation focused on gender equity and working conditions in architecture. The salons are open to architects and designers; registration and attendance details are published through parlour.org.au when dates are confirmed.
