Sydney Open 2026

Museums of History NSW opens significant buildings across the Sydney CBD to ticket holders for one day on Sunday 1 November 2026

Location: Sydney CBD and nearby precincts

Date: Sunday 1 November 2026, 10am to 5pm

Sydney Open 2026 takes place on Sunday 1 November 2026 from 10am to 5pm. Presented by Museums of History NSW, the one-day event opens significant buildings across the Sydney CBD and nearby precincts to the public, from heritage interiors to recently completed projects that are normally closed.

The 2026 theme is Built for the curious. A single ticket gives access to the full list of buildings on the day, with prices from $35 to $55. The programme is published on the Sydney Open website, where tickets are sold.

For architects and interior designers, Sydney Open is the one day of the year to walk through a cross section of the city’s building stock in a single afternoon, including interiors by local practices that are otherwise off limits.
