Facades+ New York City 2027
The Architect's Newspaper's two-day building envelope conference returns to New York with a symposium, materials expo and workshops for architects, facade consultants and engineers

Facades+ is The Architect’s Newspaper’s travelling conference series on building envelope design, engineering and construction. The New York City 2027 edition runs on 24 and 25 March, with the venue, co-chairs and speaker line-up still to be announced. It draws architects, facade consultants, engineers, contractors and fabricators from across the region, along with product manufacturers exhibiting in the expo.
The series follows a consistent format. Day one is a full-day symposium of presentations and panels with a Methods and Materials Expo of envelope products and peer networking, and day two offers optional classroom-style workshops. At recent editions attendees could earn up to 12 AIA HSW continuing education units, and qualified architects and engineers could apply for a free VIP symposium pass. Registration details will be posted on the Facades+ website.
For New York architects, Facades+ is the one annual conference devoted entirely to the envelope, in a city where facade performance and embodied carbon sit at the centre of most project briefs. It is also where the city’s facade consultants and fabricators gather in one room.
