Perth Design Week: Design Soapbox 2026
Design Soapbox is Perth Design Week's signature speaker event — a rapid-fire evening of short, provocative talks from leading voices in architecture, design, and the creative industries.

Design Soapbox is one of the standout events in the Perth Design Week programme — a high-energy evening of short, punchy talks from designers, architects, makers, and creative thinkers. Each speaker takes to the stage for a tight set, making the case for an idea, challenging a convention, or sharing something that has shaped the way they work. The format is deliberately fast-paced, keeping the room engaged and the conversation moving.
Held at the Liberty Theatre, Design Soapbox draws a broad crowd from across Perth’s design community: practitioners from architecture studios and interior design firms, students from built environment programmes, and design-curious locals who follow the pulse of the city’s creative scene. It is as much a social event as an intellectual one — the kind of evening where conversations begun in the audience carry on long after the last speaker has left the stage.
Perth Design Week runs across several days in late March, with Design Soapbox typically among the most highly attended sessions. Tickets should be secured early via the Perth Design Week website.
